Sean Banerjee, CTO of CentralReach, has spent nearly three decades building technology for complex, high-stakes environments. His career began with large-scale telecom billing systems at Sprint before moving into healthcare innovation, value-based care, telemedicine, and technology supporting autism and intellectual and developmental disability care.

Sean originally came to the United States to pursue a PhD in materials science. His direction changed in 1993 when he encountered the Mosaic web browser and immediately recognized that software would transform how people accessed information.
Rather than viewing his transition into programming as a calculated career risk, Sean saw it as the only logical path forward.

Sean’s early work on Sprint’s billing platform exposed him to systems processing hundreds of millions of transactions. It also taught him that architectures resembling modern distributed systems existed long before today’s terminology.
When the telecom industry contracted, Sean had to rebuild his domain expertise in healthcare. That transition shaped one of his central leadership principles.
